At City Hall there has been endless hesitance to commit to keeping cars off the promenade, despite endless conversations, committees, surveys, and comments. We, and the people of Santa Barbara, want a State Street that is safe, thriving, and serves the community, and while we believe the promenade is on the right track, the lack of commitment prevents us from moving forward. This petition serves as a concrete statement to City Hall: your contituents want a car-free State Street.
